Abstract
To our knowledge we provide the first report of the in vivo significance of p27KIP1 in the regulation of detrusor function using a cystometric approach. We identified a role for p27KIP1 in protecting against dysregulated smooth muscle cell proliferation, bladder capacity and detrusor compliance under normotensive conditions.
