Abstract

SummaryThe clinical focus after kidney transplantation often is centered on graft function. However, neurologic complications are a common, significant, and under-recognized contributor to patient morbidity and mortality. Neurologic syndromes can arise through exacerbation of pre-existing conditions or can be newly acquired in the setting of increased risk of infection and drug toxicity after transplantation. We present a comprehensive review of neurologic complications after kidney transplantation.
