Abstract
The results provide evidence that urethral smooth muscle is under the control of endogenous compounds, such as adrenergic agonists (norepinephrine and phenylephrine), vasoactive peptides, prostagladins, NO/cyclic GMP, and acetylcholine, assumed to influence micturition at the peripheral level.
