Abstract
Compared with laparoscopic myomectomy, HIFU treatment of symptomatic uterine myomas leads to comparable QoL and symptom improvement, fewer significant clinical complications and adverse events, shorter hospital stay, and faster recovery. Randomized studies with long-term follow-up are needed to reach definitive conclusions insofar as HIFU treatment of uterine myomas.
