Abstract
This review describes some of the key features in the history of termination of pregnancy within our society. The frame work of the law regulating termination of pregnancy in the United Kingdom is presented. An overview is given of the different methods that are used. The review ends with some reflection on possible future developments in the provision of Termination of Pregnancy services within the United Kingdom.
