Abstract
An incidental finding of pelvic masses of considerable proportions is not uncommon in clinical gynecological practice. These lesions tend to grow slowly and produce no or few symptoms, often consisting of vague and nonspecific episodes that may have lead to medical consultations for years without their cause being suspected. We present a case of leiomyomatosis peritonealis disseminata diagnosed in a patient who attended our clinic for assessment of a possible gynecological origin of longstanding, intermittent, low abdominal pain.
