Abstract
A review of the literature revealed that this is the third reported case diagnosed during pregnancy. Diagnosis is usually delayed because of nonspecific clinical manifestations. The key elements in managing this entity are percutaneous drainage under radiological guidance and antibiotic coverage. Antibiotic therapy should be initiated immediately after obtaining samples for culture and antibiogram.
