Rotura hepática asociada a preeclampsia y síndrome HELLP, con resultados catastróficos

ResumenPresentamos el caso una gestante de 41 años, diagnosticada de preeclampsia grave en la semana 39, con resultados catastróficos de muerte materna. Exponemos el deterioro de esta paciente desde el diagnóstico de preeclampsia, que evolucionó a eclampsia, síndrome de HELLP, rotura hepática, distrés respiratorio, shock séptico y muerte materna.La rotura hepática es una de las complicaciones más graves de la preeclampsia y el síndrome HELLP. Nuestro objetivo es destacar la importancia de su diagnóstico temprano y su tratamiento para disminuir la morbimortalidad materna y perinatal.

We present the case of a 41 years old pregnant, diagnosed of preeclampsia in her 39 weeks with catastrophic result, ending in maternal death. We show the deterioration of this patient since the diagnosis of preeclampsia, with evolution to eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, respiratory distress, septic shock and finally, maternal death.Liver rupture is one of the most severe complication of preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. Our objective is to emphasize the importance of its early diagnosis and treatment to reduce the maternal and neonatal morbimortality.
