Abstract
Heterotopic pregnancy can be diagnosed after spontaneous conception, even in asymptomatic patients. It is important to carry out routine examination of the adnexae in the first ultrasound scan to exclude ovarian disease and diagnose (or exclude) the presence of asymptomatic heterotopic pregnancy.
