Abstract
We present the case of a woman with fever of unknown origin, anemia and abdominal tenderness 10 days after a eutocic delivery. An ultrasound scan showed a large volume of free fluid. Surgery revealed a right tubo-ovarian abscess and abundant ascitic fluid in the abdominal cavity. Pathologic analysis demonstrated the presence of tuberculosis. Treatment was administered and maternal and neonatal outcomes were favorable. The difficulties of diagnosing tuberculosis in these patients are summarized.
