Abstract
Omental pregnancy is a very rare form of ectopic pregnancy. We present a case of omental pregnancy diagnosed on laparoscopic exploration. The patient presented with lower abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding; a pregnancy test was positive. Ultrasound scan showed a heterogeneous mass in the left paraovarian area and a small amount of free peritoneal fluid, all compatible with tubal pregnancy. Laparoscopy was performed and both ovaries and Fallopian tubes were found to be intact. Omental pregnancy was detected and a laparotomy was carried out to control the bleeding and perform partial omentectomy.
