Abstract
Congenital cutaneous aplasia is a condition characterized by congenital absence of skin areas that can occur in any location. It is a rare disease, affecting both sexes equally and the etiology is unclear. The disorder is seen most frecuently on the scalp. It has a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations, with variable inheritance, sometimes associated to other defects and malformations.
