Abstract
The percutaneous excision system (Intact®-BLES) can be performed under local anaesthesia on an outpatient basis without major complications, thus avoiding surgery in 88% of cases of premalignant lesions in the initial biopsy. In addition, this procedure revealed the presence of DCIS in 8% of the patients (underdiagnosed).
