Abstract
SummaryIntrauterine surgery for repair of fetal myelomeningocele has been performed since 1994. Open repair through a hysterotomy has been performed since 1997. Although much has been published about diagnosis, counseling, case selection, pre-, intra-, and postoperative management, delivery and long-term sequelae for both mother and baby, and associated ethical issues, several questions have yet to be openly discussed in a public forum.
