Abstract
•We analysed the impact of window level on contouring of moving targets.•We assessed the data by using a water filled phantom and different CT-scan acquisitions.•Cranio-caudal tumor motion will lead to underestimation of target volumes in the slow 3D-CT.•Even if lung windowing is used, reevaluation of the contoured target in different planes is necessary.
