Abstract

Spinal angiolipomas are rare benign tumors composed of mature adipocytes admixed with abnormal vessels. In this article we report two cases of spinal extradural angiolipomas presented with back pain and sensory alternation. The lesions were hyperintense on both T1-weighted and T2-weighted images of the spinal MRI. Both of the cases underwent gross-total resection of the tumors without adjuvant radiotherapy after operation. Both patients recovered well and no tumor recurrence was found on the spinal magnetic resonance images one year after operation.
