Abstract
An adapted classification for clinical use in France and in connection with the international classification is proposed. VMA are classified as an “associated” or “isolated” VMA respectively with or without macular disease. MH are distinguished as “primary” or “secondary” MH depending on whether the etiology is known or not, and classified as “small”, “medium” and “large” depending on the size of the hole, and according to the presence or absence of VMT. Finally, VMT are described according to presence or absence of an epimacular membrane and according to the width of the adhesion.
