Abstract
The intracameral cefuroxime injection at the end of the cataract surgery is a means to consider to prevent endophthalmitis. It can be implemented as a part of regular practice with appropriate preparation rules. The major barrier to its further use appears to be the lack of a commercially available preformulated preparation.
