Abstract
SummaryManagement of acetabular dysplasia in young adults remains a challenge. A systematic approach is required to assess the nature and degree of the dysplasia in order to plan treatment. This article describes the rationale used to choose surgery appropriate for the dysplasia type and thereby to ensure a satisfactory result. In particular, the indications, surgical technique and the results for the Chiari medial displacement osteotomy and variants are described.
