Abstract
Fetal laceration is a recognized complication of cesarean delivery; however, major injuries are rare. The case of a healthy newborn who sustained an injury to the extensor pollicis longus tendon during cesarean delivery is reported. The tendon was repaired surgically on the sixth day of life with good recovery of function.
