Abstract
Avulsion-fracture of the tibial tubercle has been well described and its management is now well codified in standard orthopaedic textbooks. Diagnosis is based on clinical features and standard radiology. The authors present a case of a neglected type IIA avulsion-fracture of the tibial tubercle. Surgical treatment gives an excellent outcome despite intra operative difficulties.
