Abstract
Although tibia metaphyseal nonunions are rare, their treatment is often complex. This article includes a review of the literature regarding this problem and discusses the merits of techniques for the management of distal tibia nonunions. These techniques include intramedullary nailing, fine-wire fixation, and the authors preferred method of blade plate reconstruction.
