Abstract

Knee dislocations are complex high-energy injuries that require skill and experience to manage successfully. Current reconstruction techniques allow us to reproduce the ligament anatomy well, but problems remain with arthrofibrosis, pain, and recurrent instability. However, results continue to improve as our reconstructions replicate the anatomy more precisely. This article focuses on how we diagnose knee dislocation patients and determine the appropriate surgical method needed for successful repair.
