Abstract
‘Patient Specific Guides’ (PSG) is a new technique to perform total knee replacement. It involves creating a computerized virtual 3 D model of the distal femur and proximal tibia which is used to plan the operation and to form negative moulds of the patient's distal femur and proximal tibia which replace more traditional jigs. The technique is described and the literature is reviewed.
