(v) Ligament injuries of the hand

Ligamentous injuries of the digital joints of the hand can give rise to significant disability. While many can be managed conservatively, operative treatment is often necessary, particularly in complete ligamentous ruptures and late presenting cases. This article describes the management of the commoner and less common injuries.
