Abstract
This is a rare genetic condition affecting type 1 collagen and produces a clinical picture of reduced bone mineral density and a propensity to fractures. The spectrum of severity is broad, and many other tissues can be involved including teeth and hair. Here we aim to summarize the features of the condition and give a current overview of recent literature, including the use of bisphosphonates in its management.
