Abstract
This paper reviews current thinking about the epidemiology, investigation, treatment and outcome of chondrosarcoma, including the role of PET-CT. It also looks at current controversies about management and specific difficulties with pelvic location. New hopes for treatment such bisphosphonates, COX-2 inhibitors and carbon ion therapy and the latest genetic studies are reviewed.
