Abstract
Shoulder arthroplasty is not an ideal surgical solution for young patients with arthritis of the glenohumeral joint due to the concerns of long-term implant survival. Various open and arthroscopic procedures have been described for this patient population with varying results. Here we review current arthroscopic alternatives to total shoulder arthroplasty for the treatment of glenohumeral arthritis. We also describe and present our outcomes of an all-arthroscopic technique, using fresh osteochondral allograft to correct bipolar glenohumeral arthritis in young patients.
