Abstract
Vancouver B3 periprosthetic femur fractures present significant reconstructive challenges. Treatment requires revision of the femoral component of the hip replacement. The proximal femur is, by definition, of poor structural quality and won’t support standard revision prostheses. Modular proximal femoral replacement offers a solution in this difficult situation. The technique for treating B3 periprosthetic femur fractures with proximal femoral replacement is described.
