Abstract
While understanding spinal growth is important for the progression of spinal deformities, it is becoming increasingly important for growth modification, which is a promising technique for the future. The spine undergoes morphological and dimensional changes with growth, and our current knowledge base is built upon only a few studies with important limitations. Important future studies need to address changes that occur and how they vary between individuals.
