Abstract
Intraoperative imaging modalities are frequently utilized in spinal surgery to improve the accuracy of instrumentation, assess alignment, and evaluate fracture reduction. The Iso-C3D is an isocentric C-arm that provides high-resolution fluoroscopic images in multiple planes, which may preclude the need for additional pre- or postoperative studies. This system may be preferable to other intraoperative imaging techniques because it does not involve a time-consuming manual registration process and may subject the patient and surgical staff to less radiation. When paired with navigation software, Iso-C3D may also facilitate image-guided procedures by visualizing the surgical anatomy in real time.
