Abstract
SummaryA case of high-pressure fingertip injury with an unknown paint primer injectate, and the use of a simple test to determine whether it is water- or solvent-based in order to guide subsequent optimal debridement, is presented. The favourable outcome achieved was felt to have resulted, in part, from the effective single debridement thus achieved.
