Abstract
Skin grafts play an important role in facial reconstruction by providing not only function but cosmesis. Both split thickness skin grafting and full thickness skin grafting (FTSG) are used in facial reconstruction. This article describes the common applications of skin grafting. It also describes three less common applications of FTSG the authors use in the reconstruction of nasal vestibule stenosis, external auditory meatal stenosis, and full thickness scalp defects.
