Abstract
General reconstructive principles unique to the eyelids may be used to guide successful eyelid and periorbital reconstruction following tissue excision. Eyelid tumors involving the medial canthus region and/or lacrimal system add to the complexity of reconstructive planning. The nature of the defect, patient and tissue factors, and surgeon preference guides repair design choices. This article discusses eyelid and periorbital reconstruction options.
