RésuméCertains types de cancers du sein comme le carcinome canalaire de type tubuleux, et certains carcinomes lobulaires sont de diagnostic difficile en cytologie mammaire. Les seuls critères morphologiques habituels de malignité, rarement présents, expliquent le risque d'un diagnostic erroné. La relecture de nombreuses lames après obtention du diagnostic histologique final nous a permis de mettre en évidence des amas cellulaires particuliers prenant la forme de petits animaux (papillon, aigle, chien, lézard, poisson, lapin…) dont la connaissance peut être d'une grande aide diagnostique.

SummaryBreast cytopathology of tubular and lobular carcinomas may be very difficult. Indeed, the classical morphological signs of malignancy are often scarce or absent; the identification of special patterns of cell clusters may therefore be very useful to reach a diagnosis. Following the review of many cases of cytological smears with histological confirmation, a series of peculiar cytological aspects (often mimicking little animals such as butterfly, eagle, dog, lizard, fish, rabbit…) were identified and found helpful to report here from a diagnostic point of view.
