Abstract
Most carcinomas of the ovary are diagnosed as serous carcinomas, even when they do not have featured characteristics of serous neoplasms. In this review article, we describe and illustrate the 7 different types of ovarian carcinomas. We believe that it is essential to separate these tumors because it is most probable that they follow different molecular pathways and/or hormonal backgrounds.
