Abstract
Uterine mesenchymal tumors are unusual neoplasms that frequently give rise to diagnostic difficulties. I have chosen to review the clinical and histopathologic features of three interesting lesions - low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma, leiomyosarcoma and carcinosarcoma (malignant mixed Mullerian tumor) - and have also provided information about ancillary diagnostic techniques and strategies for sorting between entities featured in the differential diagnosis.
