Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is one of the most important etiologies of cardiac dysfunction, but many of the underlying factors remain unknown. Recent studies have gradually been revealing further details of the mechanisms involved, including coronary atherosclerosis and cardiac subcellular remodeling in diabetes. This review aims to clarify mechanisms of cardiac disturbances in diabetes mellitus.
