Abstract
Sclerosing angiomatoid nodular transformation (SANT) of the spleen is a benign lesion first described in 2004 by Martel. Approximately 100 further cases have since been published. We report a case of SANT detected during a CT scan for a renal abscess in a 55 year old patient. The lesion had both macroscopic, microscopic and immunohistochemical features characteristic of SANT. We reviewed the most recent cases in the literature and considered the relationship of our case with IgG4-related disease, an entity that has been associated with SANT.
