Surgical treatment reduces blood pressure in children with unilateral congenital hydronephrosis

This novel prospective study in patients with congenital hydronephrosis demonstrates a reduction in blood pressure following relief of the obstruction. Based on the present results, we propose that the blood pressure level should also be taken into account when deciding whether to correct hydronephrosis surgically or not.83Figure.
