Abstract
Capillary hemangioma is the most common vascular tumor in children that usually progresses to spontaneous regression; that is why the treatment is not obligatory in this disease. However, when complications such as amblyopia, strabismus, corneal exposure, optic nerve compression or malformations of the bony orbit occur, a rigorous management becomes compulsory. Oral beta-blockers proved their effectiveness in the treatment of these severe and extended forms with rare side effects.
