Abstract
Endoscopy of the digestive tract has become a routine examination in pediatric gastroenterology and helps in making a precise diagnosis, in condition that it is performed by a trained endoscopist with the suitable material. If the bleeding, ingestion of caustic represents the most common reasons for performing upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, interventional endoscopy is developing increasingly in children thanks to the reduction of the calibre of fiberscopes.
