Abstract
SummaryAs a testimony to advances in patient care, more individuals with cystic fibrosis are surviving into their adult years than ever before. The clinical epidemiology of this complex multi-organ disease is evolving and has changed dramatically over the past two to three decades. This article discusses the emergence of chronic disease-related co-morbidities such as CF-related diabetes, chronic kidney disease, bone disease, arthropathy, and depression. It also provides an overview of the many challenges confronted by adult CF care providers.
