Abstract
SummaryPulmonary compromise is common in neuromuscular disease. Respiratory failure may be a presenting feature of neuromuscular disease and remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality. This article will review the current understanding of the more commonly encountered neuromuscular disorders in childhood and emphasize related pulmonary issues.
