Abstract
Industry is changing as an acknowledgement of the need to adapt to the culture change demanded by society. Self regulation is increasingly active and transparent; guidelines, laws and internal/external regulators exist to examine industry. However, for the changes in regulations, behaviour and practices to be fully effective, there is a need for dialogue between industry and healthcare professionals. Commitment is needed from both sides to work together to manage the relationship.
