Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/myalgic encephalomyopathy (CFS/ME) is a relatively common and serious condition in children and young people, having a significant impact on their physical, emotional and cognitive well being. Although some progress has been made in understanding this perplexing condition there is still a long way to go and controversies persist about terminology, aetiology and treatment. However, there is a general agreement that CFS is a heterogeneous condition and good evidence regarding management.
