Further research is needed to better understand the disorder and clarify its frontiers, which still remain a controversial issue with regard to the homeostatic response to stress and other types of anxiety disorders. The results of our study suggest that this sub syndromic entity should be recognized and adequately treated, especially in general practice where it is very common.
