Abstract
This article attempts to discuss involuntary outpatient commitment. Firstly, it explains what it consists of and some empirical studies are examined to see the experience of its applicability. Secondly, it shows the situation in Spain. Finally, it presents arguments for its applicability and it suggests some ways to regulate it.
