Abstract
The present article reviews current knowledge on this topic and contrasts the opinions of different authors. Reflections are made on the major difficulties encountered when diagnosing these patients, such as the presence of persecutory delusions or Schneider's first rank symptoms. It is concluded that more objective bases are required to classify these patients.
