Abstract
We report the case of a woman with a diagnosis of schizophrenia who presented a psychotic relapse during pregnancy and describe the pharmacological treatment used to achieve symptom remission and prevent further relapses during the puerperium. We also performed a search of the literature on pregnancy, schizophrenia and neuroleptic treatment since 1984 and review the recommendations made on this topic.
